2012 Action on Cancer is a collaborative campaign to raise awareness of cancer in Cheshire and Merseyside. The campaign aims to improve public awareness of cancer related issues, improve early diagnosis, provide a forum for people to share their experiences and support other patients and to let the general public know more about the positive, proactive action that is being taken by local clinicians and scientists to beat Cancer.

The proposed extension of the cancer services offered by Clatterbridge at the new Royal Liverpool hospital site and the seamless integration of services by both trusts provide a once in a generation opportunity to design cancer services to ensure the people of Cheshire, Merseyside and beyond benefit from world class care of the highest possible quality.

The “Be Clear on Bowel Cancer“, campaign will end in March 2013. Local groups will help to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer during this time by holding activities, road shows and events alongside community champions who will support the campaign. This campaign is important because people with visual or hearing impairments do not often receive health awareness messages.
